Amazon has officially discontinued Inspire, its TikTok-like shopping feed, which featured photos and videos of products for users to browse and buy.

First launched in 2022, Inspire allowed Amazon app users to scroll through curated product categories like skincare, interior design, and pet products.

Amazon confirmed the shutdown to The Verge, stating that the company “regularly evaluates features to align with what matters most to customers” and decided to discontinue Inspire. The feature was introduced when TikTok and YouTube were expanding their shopping integrations, but it failed to gain traction.

In 2023, Amazon faced criticism for reportedly offering creators just $25 per Inspire video, which was significantly below standard industry rates. Despite Inspire’s shutdown, Amazon still offers Shop by Interest (a similar shoppable feed) and AI-powered shopping guides to help users discover products. The company also plans to enhance social media integrations to improve the shopping experience.
