Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has confirmed it is actively investigating claims that company data was stolen in a recent cyberattack.

A cybercriminal group known as “IntelBroker” has taken responsibility for the alleged breach, asserting that it has obtained a significant amount of sensitive AMD information.

“We are aware of a cybercriminal organization claiming to be in possession of stolen AMD data,” AMD said in the statement given to BleepingComputer, PCMag, and Bloomberg. “We are working closely with law enforcement officials and a third-party hosting partner to investigate the claim and the significance of the data.”

IntelBroker is currently offering the stolen data for sale on Breach Forums, a notorious online marketplace for illicitly obtained information.
