Apple is giving developers early access to more of its advanced Apple Intelligence features. With the release of the first developer beta of iOS 18.2, developers can now explore tools like Genmoji, which allows users to create personalized emojis, and Image Playground, an AI-powered image generation tool.

The update also brings enhanced AI-driven writing tools, ChatGPT integration, and Visual Intelligence, which enables users to perform searches using their iPhone 16 camera. Additionally, the beta introduces support for Apple Intelligence in more regions, according to a report by 9to5Mac.

iOS 18.2 is set to deliver the second wave of Apple Intelligence features to users. The first batch, featuring a more intuitive Siri and smarter notification summaries, is scheduled to arrive next week alongside the official release of iOS 18.1.

Apple first revealed its Apple Intelligence upgrades at the WWDC 2024 event in June. At the time, the company announced that the features would be rolled out in phases. One highly anticipated update is Siri’s ability to understand and respond to what’s on the iPhone screen and perform actions based on user commands, though this capability isn’t yet available in iOS 18.2.

In addition to iOS updates, Apple has also rolled out the first macOS Sequoia 15.2 developer beta, which includes some of the new Apple Intelligence tools. However, Genmoji appears to be absent from this beta, as reported by 9to5Mac.
