Apple has launched the public beta of Apple Maps for the web, making it possible for users worldwide to access Maps directly from their browsers.

This new web version of Apple Maps enables users to get driving and walking directions, find notable places, and access useful information such as photos, business hours, ratings, and reviews.

Users can also order food directly from the Maps place card and explore curated guides to discover dining, shopping, and exploration opportunities in cities worldwide. Additional features like Look Around will be rolled out in the coming months.

For developers, Apple Maps on the Web offers integration with MapKit JS, allowing them to link out to Maps, providing their users with driving directions, detailed place information, and more.

Currently, Apple Maps on the web is available in English and is compatible with Safari and Chrome on Mac and iPad, as well as Chrome and Edge on Windows PCs. Apple plans to expand support for additional languages, browsers, and platforms over time, further enhancing the accessibility and functionality of Apple Maps for a broader audience.
