Brazil’s Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes has unfrozen the bank accounts of X (formerly Twitter) and Starlink after the companies transferred over $3 million to the government to settle fines owed by X.

Despite this financial settlement, X remains blocked in Brazil, with no update on when or if the platform will be restored.

The freeze on both companies’ accounts had been implemented as part of ongoing legal actions, but the recent payment appears to have satisfied the government’s requirements for now.

Starlink, owned by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, and X continue to face legal and regulatory challenges in the country.
