OpenAI has made ChatGPT’s search engine more accessible by removing the login requirement.

As of Wednesday, anyone can use ChatGPT’s web-based search without an account, making AI-driven search more convenient than ever.

The chatbot will pull information from the web and display a list of sources alongside its responses, much like a traditional search engine.

Previously, OpenAI limited this feature to paid ChatGPT Plus users when it launched in October, before extending access to all users in December. Now, by removing the login barrier, OpenAI positions ChatGPT’s search tool as a direct competitor to Google and Bing, making AI-driven search more seamless and user-friendly.
