The European Union (EU) has dealt a significant blow to tech giant Apple, imposing a hefty fine of approximately €500 million (equivalent to about USD 539 million.

This penalty comes as a consequence of accusations that Apple has been stifling competition against its own music streaming service, Apple Music, on the iPhone platform, the Financial Times reports.
