A major outage is currently impacting several core Meta platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Threads.
Facebook is logging users out of their accounts, leaving them unable to get back in. Meanwhile, Instagram is also facing a similar issue, I can’t refresh my feeds.
Threads are included and also appear to be completely down. When opening the app on a mobile device, it displays an error message that says, “Sorry, something went wrong. Try again.” However, WhatsApp is working without an issue.
In a statement, Meta confirmed outages across all its services: We are aware of an issue users are having logging into our platforms. Our engineering teams are aware and are actively looking to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Update 3/5/24: Meta services are now back online but the company has not shared what caused the outage.
