Google is rolling out an AI-powered upgrade for Gmail’s search function, which will make it easier to find emails more efficiently.

According to a post on The Keyword blog, instead of simply displaying results in chronological order based on keywords, Gmail will now consider factors like recency, most-clicked emails, and frequent contacts.

“With this update, the emails you’re looking for are far more likely to be at the top of your search results — saving you valuable time and helping you find important information more easily,” Google stated.

The new “most relevant” search results feature is now available worldwide for personal Google account users. It works across Gmail’s web interface and the Android and iOS apps. However, users can still switch between the traditional chronological keyword-based search and the new AI-enhanced option.
