Google is reportedly testing a new feature called “Scheduled Actions” in its Gemini AI platform, aiming to offer users automated, time-based task execution, much like OpenAI’s ChatGPT scheduling tools.
First spotted by user ʟᴇɢɪᴛ on X, the feature is being integrated into the Gemini web interface. While Google hasn’t released full details yet, sources suggest that users can create tasks that trigger at specific times, even when they’re offline. This could range from reminders about meetings to routine lifestyle nudges, like taking a break every 30 minutes.
Essentially functioning like an AI-powered to-do list, Scheduled Actions is expected to become even more powerful as Google integrates it with other services across its ecosystem. However, users will need to enable notification permissions on desktop to utilize the reminder and execution functionality fully.
Google plans to roll out this feature to all users in the coming weeks, marking another step toward making Gemini a more proactive and intelligent assistant.
