Google has announced new features for its AI assistant, Gemini, allowing users to ask questions using video and real-time content on their screens.
At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, Google introduced a new “Screenshare” feature. This feature enables users to share their phone screens with Gemini and ask questions about what is displayed. For instance, during the demonstration, the company showed a user browsing for baggy jeans and asking Gemini for fashion recommendations to match the jeans.
Another major update is the video search feature. First revealed at Google I/O last year, this feature allows users to record a video and ask Gemini questions about it while filming.
Google stated that these features will be available later this month for Gemini Advanced users subscribed to the Google One AI Premium plan on Android devices.
Meanwhile, Google has begun rolling out its ‘Saved Info‘ feature to free users of its Gemini AI chatbot, enabling it to remember user preferences and personalize responses.
