Google AdSense’s Auto ads feature is a great way to monetize your website without having to do any manual ad placement. However, there may be certain areas of your site where you don’t want Auto ads to show.

Google recently announced a new system that allows you to exclude areas of your site from Auto ads directly in the AdSense ad settings preview. This new system is more convenient and efficient than the previous method of using the AdSense Visibility settings.

How to Exclude Areas of Your Site from Auto Ads

To exclude areas of your site from Auto ads, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your AdSense account
  2. Click Ads
  3. Click the Edit button next to your site name
  4. On the right-hand side panel, click Excluded Areas under “Auto ads”
  5. In the preview, you will see blue rectangles which represent potential placements
  6. Select an ad area to exclude in-page ads from appearing and it will turn red
  7. Click Apply to site

Note: It can take up to an hour for the new settings to be applied to your site.
