We receive hundreds of emails daily, including work messages, personal correspondence, and spam. Manually marking each email as read can be tedious. Fortunately, you can change a setting in Microsoft Outlook to automatically mark emails as read when you select them. Here’s how to do it:
1. Select File > Options > Advanced.
2. Under Outlook panes, select Reading Pane.
3. Check the box for Mark items as read when selection changes.
4. Click OK twice to return to Outlook.
Now, each time you change the selected email in your inbox, it will be automatically marked as read.
