Apple’s Visual Intelligence—a feature similar to Google Lens—will soon be available on the iPhone 15 Pro through a future software update.

According to Daring Fireball’s John Gruber, Apple representatives confirmed the rollout but did not specify when it would arrive.

Originally introduced with the iPhone 16 lineup in September, Visual Intelligence allows users to point their camera at objects to get information about them. Apple first showcased it as a feature accessible via the Camera Control button.

However, with the recent announcement that the iPhone 16E will get Visual Intelligence through the Action Button instead, speculation arose about its compatibility with the iPhone 15 Pro, which also has an Action Button. Apple has now confirmed that the feature will indeed be coming to the iPhone 15 Pro and will also be accessible via the Control Center.

While Apple hasn’t provided an exact timeline, Gruber speculates that Visual Intelligence could arrive with iOS 18.4, which is expected to enter developer beta soon and may be released publicly by early April.
