LinkedIn has reached a major milestone, surpassing $2 billion in Premium subscription revenue over the past 12 months, according to Microsoft’s latest earnings report.

While LinkedIn’s overall revenue grew by 9% year-over-year, its Premium subscriptions have seen significant growth, increasing around 50% in the last two years.

The professional networking platform, which now boasts over 1 billion users, has been integrating more AI-driven features into its paid tiers to attract more subscribers. These include AI-powered job search tools and career development enhancements, with about 40% of Premium users engaging with these features. LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky highlighted the achievement, stating that only a handful of digital companies have built a $2 billion subscription business, emphasizing LinkedIn’s commitment to delivering value-oriented tools for career and business growth.

Despite this success, LinkedIn’s growth may be overshadowed by Microsoft’s AI sector, which saw a massive 175% revenue increase, reaching an annualized run rate of $13 billion. Additionally, LinkedIn expects future revenue growth to be in the “low- to mid-single digits” due to challenges in its Talent Solutions division.
