Microsoft has introduced an AI-powered “Xbox Support Virtual Agent” for Xbox Insiders in the US, allowing early testers to experience AI-driven support for console and game-related issues.

Initially revealed by insider reports earlier this year, the chatbot is designed to provide faster, more efficient assistance for Xbox players navigating support challenges.

The AI agent, available at support.xbox.com, features a responsive, animated character or a colorful Xbox orb on both desktop and mobile. According to Megha Dudani, senior product manager at Xbox, feedback from Insiders during this preview phase will guide improvements.

This support chatbot marks part of Microsoft’s broader AI integration into Xbox services, including potential AI applications for content creation, game testing, and NPC development. With AI-powered features set to expand on Xbox consoles, Microsoft’s cautious but steady approach to AI aligns with CEO Satya Nadella’s push to prioritize AI across all company sectors.
