We’ve all been there. You’re crafting a beautiful Microsoft Word document, carefully selecting fonts, sizes, and styles. Then, disaster strikes – you paste some text from another source, and the formatting goes haywire.

Indents disappear, fonts clash, and your meticulously designed document turns into a chaotic mess. But fear no more! Microsoft Word’s latest update is here to rescue your documents from formatting chaos.

With this new update, the default paste option in Microsoft Word has changed from “Keep Source Formatting” to the much more helpful “Merge Formatting.”
