Microsoft announced its AI-powered Designer app is officially coming out of preview and is now available to all users on iOS and Android.
Similar to industry leaders like Canva, Designer utilizes artificial intelligence to streamline design creation across a diverse range of formats.
Users simply need to describe their desired design using text prompts. The app’s robust AI engine then generates images, stickers, greeting cards, invitations, collages, and even edits existing photos.
The app includes “prompt templates” that help jumpstart the creative process. These templates feature styles and descriptions that users can experiment with and customize. Additionally, templates can be shared with others to build on each other’s ideas.
Users can create a variety of items, such as stickers, emojis, clip art, wallpapers, monograms, avatars, and more using text prompts.
The Designer app also allows users to edit and restyle images with AI. For example, users can upload a selfie, choose from a set of styles, and add extra details to transform their photo.
In the near future, Designer will include a “replace background” feature, enabling users to transform images using text prompts.
