NASA‘s Curiosity rover has made a groundbreaking discovery on Mars: a field of pure sulfur crystals.
This unexpected find marks the first time sulfur crystals have been identified on the Red Planet.
The discovery occurred serendipitously. As the Curiosity rover navigated the Martian terrain, it accidentally crushed a stone, revealing the hidden sulfur crystals within.
This revelation was confirmed by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in a recent report.
