The streaming giant Netflix is redesigning its kids’ profiles to make them more visually appealing and more prominently display popular characters from kids’ shows.
When kids now log in to their account on a TV, they’ll be greeted with their favorite titles and characters right at the top of the screen, Netflix says.
“We wanted to represent a title in the way that kids most recognize it — through the characters,” said Michelle Parsons, product manager for kids and family at Netflix. “This is going to be like a kid walking into their own room, where they know where every Lego piece is.”
The revamped profiles are rolling out now to Netflix’s TV apps, and Netflix will test the new look on phones and tablets in the coming months.
