According to CNBC, the company’s user base grew by 33% despite competition from AI models like DeepSeek and recent tensions with Microsoft.
OpenAI COO Brad Lightcap attributed the growth to word-of-mouth adoption, stating that users find the tools valuable and see others using them. This milestone reinforces OpenAI’s strong position in the AI market.
