Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) is facing a widespread outage, impacting PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and other platforms on Monday night.
Gamers attempting to access online features, multiplayer games, or even single-player titles requiring online connectivity are reporting issues.
According to the official PSN Service Status page, the outage is widespread, affecting all platforms, including PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5, and web services.
The latest update, posted at 9:21 PM ET, confirms that gamers may encounter difficulties launching games, apps, or accessing network features. Sony has acknowledged the issue and is working to resolve it as quickly as possible, thanking users for their patience.
The outage has left players unable to sign in, access multiplayer games, or even launch certain single-player titles that require online connectivity. Fortunately, fully offline games appear to be unaffected.
As of now, there’s no word on what caused the outage or when it might be resolved. This issue doesn’t appear to be linked to the recent bug affecting PS5 home screen artwork, which was fixed earlier in the day. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
