Signal is stepping up its game in the world of video calls with new features that make it more competitive with platforms like Zoom and Google Meet.

One of the biggest additions is the ability to share a link to a call, allowing users to easily invite others to join—whether they’re on Signal or not. Previously, calls could only be initiated within Signal group chats, so this link-sharing option makes it much simpler to connect with friends or colleagues. Plus, call links are reusable, making them convenient for recurring meetings or regular family catch-ups.

Signal’s in-call experience is also getting a boost with a new “raise hand” button to signal when you’d like to speak, along with emoji reactions for quick, expressive feedback. Additionally, the app now features a dedicated tab for tracking calls, making it easy to review your call history.

These call enhancements are now available in the latest version of Signal across Android, iOS, and desktop, offering users a more seamless and competitive video call experience.
