Instagram’s Threads app, which was launched in July 2023, has seen a sharp decline in usage in just one month.
According to data from analytics firm Similarweb, the app’s daily active users (DAUs) on Android has fallen by 79% since its peak on July 7. This means that the app now has only 10.3 million DAUs, down from 49.3 million just one month ago.
The decline in usage is even more pronounced in the United States, where Threads’ DAUs have fallen by 85%. In the US, the app only has 576,000 DAUs as of August 7, down from 2.3 million on July 7.
