Microsoft’s August 2024 Patch Tuesday brings crucial security updates, addressing 89 vulnerabilities, including six actively exploited flaws and three publicly disclosed zero-day vulnerabilities.

Notably, Microsoft is still working on a patch for an additional zero-day that has been publicly disclosed.

Among the updates, eight critical vulnerabilities have been fixed, spanning issues such as the elevation of privileges, remote code execution, and information disclosure. The breakdown of the vulnerabilities addressed includes:
