During a flight to Florida on Saturday, President Trump was questioned about ongoing discussions involving TikTok’s potential sale, as reported by NPR. The talks reportedly include major players like Oracle and Microsoft.
When asked about Oracle’s involvement, Trump responded, “No, not with Oracle,” according to a Reuters report. He added, “Numerous people are talking to me, very substantial people, about buying it, and I will make that decision probably over the next 30 days. Congress has given 90 days.”
The President’s comments come amid heightened scrutiny over TikTok’s future in the U.S., as concerns about data privacy and national security have fueled debates about the app’s ownership. While Oracle’s name has been floated as a potential buyer, Trump’s remarks suggest that no definitive agreement has been reached, and multiple parties remain in contention. The decision, he indicated, will be made within the coming weeks, well ahead of the 90-day deadline set by Congress.
