X is moving closer to launching its much-anticipated payments platform, with CEO Linda Yaccarino confirming that X Money will debut later this year.

In her announcement, Yaccarino revealed that Visa will be the first official partner, enabling instant and secure funding through Visa Direct.

The service will support peer-to-peer (P2P) payments and allow users to transfer money directly to their bank accounts—similar to Venmo.

X Money is set to launch in 2025, according to its official profile. The platform has already obtained money transmitter licenses in 41 U.S. states, as listed on the X Payments website. While further details remain limited, Bloomberg previously reported that X Payments is banking with Citibank and has partnerships with Stripe and Adyen for payment processing.
