YouTube has expanded the length of its Shorts, now allowing users to upload videos as long as three minutes.

This update gives creators more flexibility in creating content for the platform’s popular short-form video feature, offering additional time to share stories, tutorials, or other engaging content.

However, according to YouTube’s Rene Ritchie, these longer Shorts may not immediately be available in the Shorts section for all users.

The full rollout of this feature will take some time, so it might be a little while before three-minute Shorts are fully integrated and visible across YouTube. This gradual update will soon bring more opportunities for creators to engage with their audience through longer videos.
